Katy lives in High Bridge with her seven-year-old daughter, Parker. During her tenure with the ADA, she was widely successful in building equitable mission-focused partnerships to drive social impact and positive outcomes for people living with diabetes or at risk for developing type 2 diabetes. For the past seven years, she served as Director of Development of the New Jersey & New York City markets of the American Diabetes Association. Katy’s career experiences led her from New Jersey to Oregon and Alabama, and eventually back to her home state in 2011. Having spent almost her entire career in non-profit marketing and fundraising, Katy found her T1D connection when she was paired with a “Little Sister” through the Big Brothers Big Sisters program who had been diagnosed at the age of 11. Katy is the newest member of our team, joining the JDRF New Jersey Metro chapter as Development Director in March 2021. Outside of work, she loves traveling and spending lots of time outside with my kids.Ĭlick here to read more about Taran, our Executive Director!
